About AINRC

Founded in 2011 when N. Rangasamy split from the Congress, having already served as Puducherry's Chief Minister twice as an INC leader. AINRC won power in its debut 2011 election and Rangasamy became Chief Minister again; the party has gone on to lead Puducherry's government for most of the period since, including a 2021 alliance with the BJP.
