About NNDP

Formed in 1964 from a merger of the United Democratic Front and the Naga National Party, aimed at resolving the Naga political issue. Its leader John Bosco Jasokie served two terms as Nagaland's Chief Minister — a brief 10-day term in 1975, then 1980–1982. Won 24 of 60 seats in 1982 and 18 of 60 in 1987 before eventually merging into the Naga People's Front lineage in 2003.
