About NNO
Formed in 1963 (led by A. Kevichüsa) and governed Nagaland continuously from statehood in 1963 to 1974 under three successive Chief Ministers, functioning as an INC-associate party. It won 22 of 40 seats in 1969 and 23 of 60 in 1974, then merged into the INC in 1976.
